Sealed bids for construction of the above captioned project will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. At that time, bids will be opened and read aloud.

Scope of Work: This project entails additions and interior renovations to the existing SMCC Holmes Gym for a Men's Volleyball Facility.

For in-person bidders, bids will be received in the Board Room of the Britte Hughey Administration Building, 1156 College Dr., Summit, Mississippi 39666. Bidders who wish to submit their bids electronically shall submit their bids as identified below.

Contract Documents & Bidding Portal: Bid documents are available via hard copy (paper) or digital copy. To preview plans, contractors are required to register for a free online account (utilizing a valid email address) at www.coxar'chplans.com where they can view and then order Bid Documents in either printed or electronic format. Bid documents are non-refundable and may only be purchased through the website. Bidders who wish to submit bids electronically instead of a written bid, must do so through www.coxarchplans.com. No other electronically transmitted bid will be acceptable. All questions regarding website registration, online orders or electronic bidding shall be directed to Plan House Printing at (662) 407-0193.

Each Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and. shall affix his Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing his proposal.

Proposals shall be submitted in either a SEALED ENVELOPE or ELECTRONICALLY transmitted in Adobe PDF format. All bid proposals shall include fully executed bid form(s) and all additionally required documentation in accordance with the. "Instructions to Bidders" which are bound in the Project Manual and in accordance with the Bid Laws of the State of Mississippi. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Each Bidder must include with his proposal, a Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent of his bid, payable to Southwest Mississippi Community College, as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
