Sealed bids for construction of the above captioned project will be opened in the 2nd

Floor City Board Room, McComb City Hall, 115 Third St., McComb, Mississippi

39648 until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023. At that time, bids will be opened

and/or downloaded and read aloud.

Scope of Work: This project entails renovations to the air conditioning system(s) in

the State Theater building at 222 State Street, McComb, MS.

A Pre-Bid Walkthrough will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 14, 2023.

Interested bidders are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

Contract Documents & Bidding Portal: Bid documents are available via hard copy

(paper) or digital copy. To preview plans, contractors are required to register for a

free account (utilizing a valid email address) at www.coxarchplans.com where

they can view and then order Bid Documents in either printed or electronic format.

Bid document costs (if any) are non-refundable and may only be obtained through

the website. Bidders who wish to submit bids electronically instead of a written bid,

must do so through www.coxarchplans.com. No other electronically transmitted

bid will be acceptable. All questions regarding website registration, online orders

or electronic bidding shall be directed to Plan House Printing at (662) 407-0193.

Each Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and shall affix his

Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope

containing his proposal.

Proposals shall be submitted in either a SEALED ENVELOPE delivered to the

Board of Mayor & Selectmen, City of McComb, 115 Third St., McComb, MS 39648

or ELECTRONICALLY transmitted in Adobe PDF format via

www.coxarchplans.com. All bid proposals shall include fully executed bid form(s)

and any additionally required documentation in accordance with the “Instructions to

Bidders” which are bound in the Project Manual and in accordance with the Bid Laws

of the State of Mississippi. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and

to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the

actual date of the opening thereof.

Each Bidder must include with his proposal, a Bid Bond in an amount equal to

five percent of his bid, payable to City of McComb, Mississippi, as bid security.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and

Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the

approved contract amount.
